A Strong First Year at WALA

We recently attended the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association conference for the first time, and it was an incredible experience for our team.

The WALA conference brings together assisted living, AFHs, and CBRF owners and operators plus industry partners from across Wisconsin to connect and share ideas.

From the moment we arrived, the conversations were real and practical. Providers were openly discussing the challenges they face around documentation, medication management, staffing, and staying compliant with DHS requirements.

For us, the most valuable part of the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association conference was listening.

Hearing Directly from Wisconsin Providers

Synkwise with customers in Wisconsin

One of the highlights of the event was sitting down with two long-time Synkwise customers based in Milwaukee. Tiara from Journeys Adult Family Home and Nicole from A Place We Call Home have both been using Synkwise for more than 4 years.

Both customers spent a lot of time and effort evaluating multiple eMAR and EHR platforms, but ultimately chose Synkwise. So we took the time to ask them, why Synkwise?

They had this to say:

“We love all the features Synkwise has to offer, the ability to customize your own dashboard and manage Tasks & ADLs with ease.

It’s a great all-in-one system that helps you stay compliant with DHS. The ability to upload state specific forms is a huge time saver and helps keep track of everything. Plus, it’s easy to use and our staff like it!”

In assisted living communities, AFHs and CBRFs, staff need systems that feel easy to use from day one.

Nicole had felt the same after demoing other platforms stating:

“I’ve tried or demoed other EHRs and it’s more complicated. I just feel like Synkwise is a lot more simple, especially for staff.”

THE BIG QUESTION

We wanted to leave Tiara and Nicole with one final question, one we believe every provider deserves to hear directly from another provider:

Why should every Wisconsin provider choose Synkwise the way you did?

“Synkwise stood out because it’s the only truly affordable all‑in‑one platform we found. Everything else cost more and offered less. What really sealed it for us is the support, when we reach out, we get a real person who understands our home and follows up every time. It feels like Synkwise is in this with us, not just selling software, like we’re all in this together.”

Hearing this directly at the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association conference reinforced a clear message. Providers are not chasing complexity. They are looking for systems that feel practical, connected, and don’t leave them feeling alone.

Looking Ahead

Our biggest takeaway from WALA was clear. Wisconsin assisted living providers are serious about modernization, but they want tools that are simple and genuinely supportive of their teams.

We are grateful to the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association for hosting such an amazing event and to everyone who stopped by our booth to share their story.

If you operate an AFH, CBRF, or assisted living community in Wisconsin and are evaluating assisted living software, we would love to connect and show you how Synkwise helps communities stay organized, connected, and inspection ready.
