As a registered nurse with over a decade of experience in Acute Care in the hospital setting, I have years of electronic charting experience. When I opened Silver Acres Adult Family Home I began with paper charting because that is what was advised. Quickly, I realized that this was not time-effective and it would be difficult to continue to keep all documents in compliance. I heard about a program called SYNKWISE and decided to try it out. It was GREAT. Our staff picked up the charting piece to the program at exceptional speeds and I was able to transition all documents from paper to computer in a few days’ time.

The medication administration record (MAR) is clear and easy to navigate, it has a nice feature that alerts your home when medications are becoming low and a refill is required. Synkwise has ALWAYS answered our questions at record speeds and has been a great addition to our business and home. We would recommend this product for anyone looking to “work smarter, NOT harder”.

Every year we decide on new upgraded systems, last year our company decided to join a software company. The program

was a reasonable cost. As I started charting, I noticed the things I have always documented daily were not in the system, so I suggested many items to be upgraded. In a blink of an eye, the
Synkwise team delivered fixes very quickly. When I download a report it goes right into the resident’s chart. All of my staff mastered the system within a 2 month time period. The progress note feature is extremely professional, so easy to write up and complete in a fast effective way. Writing up an incident report takes me 7 minutes to fill out and the system allows us to send it to the Doctor, nurse delegator, and who needs to be notified in a timely fashion. It took us 45 minutes to write an incident and then send it out, now it takes me about 7 minutes. The incident report feature has given more time to our residents. Writing up a negotiated care plan would take me about 4 hours to write up a professional plan. Now it takes 2-3 hours on
Synkwise, I can email the family/guardian for signatures as soon as I am finished, I don’t have to copy it, email, or send it in the mail which saves even more time.
Synkwise has created a system to save time for the provider, provides a professional charting system and efficiency for amazing adult family homes.

I’ve been the owner of 5 assisted living homes around Phoenix, Arizona for about 6 years. The homes are collectively known as “A Paradise for Parents”. Prior to purchasing the homes, I had an extensive background in complicated aircraft manufacturing. When I purchased the homes, I noticed my employees did everything on paper. Computers were primarily used to print out paperwork to fill out manually. I knew from my manufacturing background that we could provide much better service if we could automate a lot of our processes. By drastically cutting down on our paperwork, we could spend more time in the actual care and interaction of our residents.

So I looked around for any good systems that could help me automate the administrative tasks in our business. I tried one or two others and was not satisfied. I needed one that was easy for my caregivers as well.

Then came Synkwise. It was like the answer to my prayers. Here is a system that allows caregivers to use on any kind of phone, and anywhere people have access to the internet. It is easy to load everything from medications to all the documentation that needs to be renewed periodically. My whole team – caregivers, doctors, nurses, and families – all can collaborate to easily make sure all our documentation is in place. Our quality care has improved tremendously thanks to Synkwise taking care of so many daily tasks that are required but distract us from spending time with our residents.

When we do have any problems or questions with Synkwise, which is rare, we reach out to the company. They get RIGHT back to us. The customer support is outstanding. Everyone in the company helps to answer our questions, including the CEO! Some of my caregivers have even had the CEO on the phone to help answer their questions!

I give Synkwise my highest recommendation. Every day they continue to improve the system as well, so it will only get better. This program will make running an assisted living facility much, much, easier.”

Synkwise has been the best resident management electronic system to assist my adult family home in staying in compliance as well as organized. It is user-friendly myself and my caregivers love it. We use it daily for charting documentation of medications, vitals, tasks assigned to caregiver, calendar to remind us of resident appointments. It also has a feature for caregivers to clock in and out for their shifts making it a breeze when it comes to payday as it adds the hrs for you as well.

It has little short video tutorials to guide you if you have any problems navigating, if you have any questions there just a phone call away. Always willing to help, amazing customer service. They know in depth what the needs of AFH are being providers themselves and are continuously working in adding features to the already abundance it has to offer. I recommend Synkwise, with all it has to offer including a peace of mind.
